Lighthouse, 2019
The brief was to take a piece of architecture and to incorporate typography into it. I have taken the Chinese proverb “Don’t listen to what they say. Go see”. The type is hand lettered and wrapped around the Brier Island Lighthouse. The lettering would be coated in a reflective enamel that would illuminate at night when the surface is struck by light.
Court, 2019
This basketball court design, which would exist in an urban setting, serves to give people in nearby apartment buildings an organic and colorful skyscape to look at. The gold would be painted with an iridescent paint and would shine in the sunlight.
This Is Your Ocean, 2018
This Is Your Ocean is a mock campaign advocating the reduction of plastic bag use. Through collage and image manipulation, I created a series of seascapes made entirely out of plastic bags to draw attention to the lasting impacts that plastic bags have on the environment.
Black Hole Records, 2018
Black Hole Records is a record label created in the image of musician Chris Cornell. Cornell was the forerunner of Soundgarden and a highly influential member of the grunge movement of the 80s and 90s. This label promotes up-and-coming grunge and rock artists who rebel against the status quo of music.
We’re Still Going, 2018
We’re Still Going is a mock ad campaign for Tootsie Roll. Using a style of collage combining old Tootsie Roll advertisements and contemporary imagery, this campaign reminds its audience that Tootsie Roll, after over 100 years of influence, is still present in Western culture.
